Tanganyika "Renee" Pollard, Intern
"Where there is love, there is life."
Renee believes that relationships shape who we are—our sense of belonging, self-worth, and ability to heal. Whether working with individuals facing personal challenges, couples navigating relationship struggles, or families seeking harmony, Renee provides a supportive space for growth and connection.
With a focus on Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and the Gottman Method for couples, Renee helps clients break free from unhelpful patterns and create meaningful change. By fostering deeper self-awareness and stronger connections, Renee empowers clients to move beyond simply existing to truly thriving.
Renee has experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s transitions and emotional complexities. Her passion for mental health advocacy stems from witnessing the impact of limited access to therapy, particularly in underserved communities. Ensuring that people receive quality mental health care and psychoeducation is a priority for the work that she does.
Originally from Oakland, California, Renee was drawn to both the written and spoken word, first aspiring to be an author and now helping clients rewrite the narratives of their lives. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling—especially to destinations with both beaches and mountains—spending time with her Goldendoodle, Ginger, and embracing moments of joy with loved ones.
Renee is currently accepting new clients for in-person and virtual sessions. To schedule an appointment, call 317-471-8996 or email intake@thewellcounselinggroup.com today.
